Vision 2026 Inaugurates Saiyid Hamid Block at The Scholar School, Delhi: A Milestone in Educational Empowerment
Vision 2026, through its initiative, the Human Welfare Foundation, has added another significant milestone to its mission of educational empowerment with the inauguration of the Saiyid Hamid Block at The Scholar School in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi. This newly constructed three-story block has been dedicated to the memory of Saiyid Hamid, a revered educationist, social reformer, and the founding Chairman of the Human Welfare Foundation. The new block comprises a multipurpose hall and classrooms across two floors, embodying our commitment to fostering educational excellence in this community.
Saiyid Hamid, who served as the Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), was a towering figure in the field of education and social upliftment in India. His contributions as a member of the High-Level Committee on the Social, Economic, and Educational Status of the Muslim Community of India, widely known as the Sachar Committee, were instrumental in shaping policies for the empowerment of marginalized communities. His relentless advocacy for inclusive policies and affirmative action remains a testament to his lifelong commitment to addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by Muslims in India.
As the founding Chairman of the Human Welfare Foundation, he played a pivotal role in establishing the groundwork for social empowerment initiatives under the Vision projects, aimed at transforming the lives of less privileged and marginalized communities within society.
Established in 2010, The Scholar School in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi has over 800 students and 40 trained teachers from kindergarten through 8th grade. The school features a well-maintained library, smart classrooms, and a computer lab equipped with interactive digital facilities.
The inauguration of the Saiyid Hamid Block is not just a tribute to a visionary leader but also a step forward in the Foundation's ongoing journey toward empowering communities through education.
The inaugural program will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, 11th August 2024, at the school premises.
