The Scholar School Delhi had organized "Earth Day Activity". The Earth Day activity aimed to educate children about the importance of environmental conservation while fostering empathy towards the planet. Through the theme “Happy Earth, Sad Earth,” the activity sought to illustrate the positive and negative impacts of human actions on the environment. Children were provided with a large poster, one depicting a happy, thriving Earth and the other portraying a sad, polluted Earth. Using a variety of materials such as recycled paper, plastic, and natural elements like leaves and twigs, children were tasked with pasting items onto each Earth to represent positive and negative environmental factors. The Earth day Activity successfully engaged children in meaningful experiences that depend their understanding of environmental issues. By exploring both the joys of a healthy planet and challenges of environmental degradation, participants gained empathy and a newfound appreciation for nature.
