The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with full vigour and vitality in The Scholar School. The programme started with recitation of the Quran. National Song, Sāre jahāṉ se acchā, Hindositān hamārā was sung by students with full of enthusiasm and national spirit. Some songs, skits, Nukkad Natak and speeches were presented by the students of different houses on the theme of independence.
Mrs. Naseema Khan, Principal of the school, threw light on the importance of Independence Day. She recalled sacrifices of freedom fighters in the freedom struggle of the country like Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan,Mahatma Gandhi, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Beghum Hazrat Mahal, Tipu Sultan and many others. She acknowledged and appreciated the efforts done by students and teachers.
